About this service

A psychodietetic consultation combines knowledge from psychology and dietetics, offering a comprehensive approach to eating problems. This approach considers both the biological and psychological aspects of eating – because what we eat is closely linked to how we feel. The consultation lasts 50 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Can a psychodietitian help if I already have a diagnosed eating disorder?▼

Yes, psychodietetics can be part of treatment, but with diagnosed anorexia or bulimia it does not replace psychotherapy or medical care. At the consultation we will establish what scope of help you need in your situation.

Is this a meeting about losing weight?▼

Not by design. We work on your relationship with food: binge eating episodes, eating driven by emotions, the cycle of restriction and loss of control, guilt after a meal. A change in body weight can be a result of this, but it is not a goal in itself.

How many meetings are needed?▼

It depends on how deeply rooted the pattern is. Some people benefit from a single consultation and recommendations, but more often it takes from a few to a dozen or so meetings every two weeks.

How much does a psychodietetic consultation cost?▼

220 PLN for 50 minutes, in person in Gdańsk or Gdynia, or online.
